Rotary is a unique service club with an international flavor. Each club is made up of different occupational business leaders in the community. We have three or four fun and entertaining fund-raisers during the year to give scholarships both locally and abroad. We promote patriotism and international understanding. We love to have guests visit us at any of our Thursday meetings.   ~ John Cicero, President, Rotary Club of Apex

2012 COACH PITCH BASEBALL LEAGUE INFORMATION

The Apex Rotary Club is happy to be running the 2012 Coach Pitch Baseball League for the Apex community. Coach pitch is for boys and girls ages seven and eight. To be eligible to play, a child must be seven years old by May 5, 2012 and cannot turn nine years old before July 14, 2012. The purpose of the baseball leagues is to teach baseball fundamentals, promote good sportsmanship and show the value of teamwork. Official scores and win/loss records are not maintained.

Practices will start the week of April 2nd and will be held during the week at Lufkin Middle School. Children will have at least 4 practices prior to the first game. Your child’s coach will pick the day of the week for practice and there is a place on the registration form that enables you to list one night which you can not practice. Games will be played at Apex Elementary school on Saturdays starting May 5, 2012 and ending July 14, 2012. We will not have games the weekend of Memorial Day or Fourth of July.

The Apex Rotary Club reserves the right to change field locations due to unforeseen circumstances. Cost for the league is $80.00 and includes a team shirt and hat for your child. To register, a registration form for each child must be completed. Registration is based on a first come first serve basis! Registration forms will also be made available at Apex Parks and Recreation on February 1, 2012 starting at 10:00 a.m.

Registration forms can be obtained by emailing support@apexrotary.org or by regular mail to the address shown below. Completed forms must be mailed to this same address:
